Troy 2250 - First Update 24/06/06

"Once the home for one of histories most famous civilisations, Troy, standing proud and tall on the golden beach that was once the resting place for so many of its enemies that try and breach the walls. People lived so peacefully within the fortress of the city, fearing no one.

Until this once glorious city was once the destination for one of histories most famous battles, the Battle for Troy. The Greek armies came in there thousands, for a king who had just found peace with the people of Troy, had been betrayed and this act of betrayal was to mean the end for all of Troy. The walls of Troy had never been breached before, any previous attack made had failed, for this reason, the King wanted every army of Greece at his side. He knew this alone was not enough; he needed the final piece of the puzzle in his ranks. And this piece was Achilles. Achilles, considered the greatest warrior of all time, was to fight in this battle, not for the King but for immortality, his name to be remembered for all time.
The war would wage on for weeks, eventually seeing the Greek's breach the walls of Troy, which resulted in the fall of the city. The armies of Greece went on to burn down every wall standing, slay all the population and win this war. Achilles would be slain, but in turn find his immortality.

This is how the stories are told of this great battle, but now a new story is to be made, the battle for Troy is to be redone…

The year is 2250, Earth is in ruin after all natural resources have depleted, and technology wasn't quick enough to find a replacement for oil and gas. The world's superpower's, the U.S and the U.K (N.F.O, Nations for Order) ally in a hope to regain control in a world at war.

War however is different now, gone are the day's of technological battles and war's filled with the threat of weapons of mass destruction, the loss of all natural resources has meant Earth has been forced back to an era similar to the medieval stage. Once again, countries fight by the sword.
War rages thick in countries that hold the last of the oil supplies, the biggest oil supply lies in the hands of the nation of China. China has become a rogue nation, fighting only for itself, and disregarding the welfare of any other life. This oil “gold mine” that they stand on lies in the once famous Troy.

Countries have fought over this area for decades, China's experienced and huge army have brushed aside any opposition that have tried to conquer it. However, this is not the same Troy of thousands of years ago. This is a Troy that lays in ruins, a shadow of its former self. Once a towering fortress overlooking the beaches, it's now a desert wasteland filled with bunkers and defences, the walls still stand, but the skies of black smoke and the smell of burning oil take away the magnificence that made the former Troy what it was.

In a last attempt to regain control of this area and maybe get some order back into the planet N.F.O are to wage war on the Chinese. The Battle for Troy is on, both armies have thousands of soldiers at the ready, and you are one of them.This is your first war solider, and you're going in the deep end… "
